Jordan 's Quest, Inc. will provide the following services:
  • Group and individual parenting classes
  • Staff development classes for child care centers
  • We will direct clients to service providers in their area, who work with families
  • We provide clients with information packets on support groups, recreation programs, service providers, etc. that will meet their family's specific needs.
  • Jordan 's Quest will also provide family resource information display tables at church events, PTA/Parent conference meetings, resource fairs, etc.
  • You are always welcome to call Jordan's Quest if you have any concerns or questions you need answered about children.
  • If you are court ordered to attend a parent education class and live in Richmond (City), Henrico County, Chesterfield County, Hanover County, Petersburg, or Sussex County we will come to you and offer our parenting services.
  • Jordan 's Quest promotes literacy.  We will come out to your organization or group and have Ms. Myrtle read to the children.  We also give away free gently used books to children in attendance.

  1. "Loving Ways To Discipline Your Child"
  • Parents will be introduced to spank free discipline techniques. 
  • Learn simple techniques that will keep you calm during disagreements with your child
  • "Love the child but...hate the behavior-What should a parent do?"
  • "Children See...Children Do"
      2.  "Getting To Know Your Child"
  • What makes them do the things that make you upset?
  • What are the developmental assets that each child possesses?
  • How well do you know your child's friends, teachers, classmates etc.?
  • Learn of ways you as a parent can talk to your child without accusing them of things.
    3.  How To Set Limits/Boundaries for your child.
  • How important is having house rules?
  • Why have family meetings?
  • The importance of being consistent
  • Do you talk to your children?
We understand that some parents are not able to attend parenting classes because of a lack of transportation. In most cases Jordan's Quest will come to your home and provide our services.   If we are not able to meet at your home an alternative site where public transportation will be arranged. Jordan's Quest, Inc. is always willing to collaborate with other organizations that work with families.
